The HELLRAISERS had an exciting tournament in Chicago for the Pride Bowl I from June 27th-30th.  The team ended up placing 5th, only loosing to the 1st place team (San Diego) by 1 point and loosing to 2nd place LA team.  Thanks for everyone that joined us for the event and helped support us, as it was an absolute blast.  Photos from the event will be posted soon, but in the mean time you can read the article published by Outsports covering the event.

Tangible Fitness has agreed to sponsor the Phoenix Hellraisers.  Detials of the sponsorship will be sent out in an email to the league.  This will be a great way to take the league to the next level with year round fitness and well conditions players.

Exciting news!  I am pleased to announce have picked up another sponsor, Artcraft sports apparel and embroidery.  We will be getting our uniforms through them soon, so stay tuned for more details.  Because of this sponsorship, we will most likely have an online store through this domain where you can purchase the latest PHOENIX HELLRAISER apparel and goods like T-shirts, bummer/window stickers, mugs, and much more!

We have many exciting events coming up on our team calendar, including but not limited to a kickball tournament, bachelor auction, drag shows, wet underwear contests, and other fun events.  Be sure to come out and support us during these fundraising events, as it helps defray the cost of our tournament season and allows us to compete nationally.  We would also encourage everyone that is attending the Chicago tournament to come out to practice.

The HELLRAISERS had a great time volunteering for the Saguaro Cup, helping the Cactus Cities softball league with their event on the weekend of April 4- 6, 2008.  The following weekend, we asked everyone to participate in Phoenix Pride, where the league entered in a float.  I would like to thank everyone that helped out, as you made both events extremely successful!

Thanks to everyone who came out and participated in the inaugural season of the PHOENIX HELLRAISERS flag football league.  It was a fantastic season, with the Apollo's Hitmen coming back from a 0-3 record to win the title.  To cap off this season, the entire league will be participating in a bar crawl with awards being handed out at each sponsor bar.  If you missed our inaugural season, be sure to look out for future HELLRAISERS events, and start thinking about the team you want to play with next season!

The HELLRAISERS celebrated the superbowl at Friends, which had a great turnout form all the league teams and was a lot of fun.  We would like to thank everyone that came out for this memorable event.

The HELLRAISERS holiday party was held on December 15th at 7:00 pm at Emmanuel's house.  Thank you to everyone that brought a toy to donate to Toys for Tots.  The marines appreciated your donations and made sure they went to many deserving children.  Photos of the event will be posted soon in the photo section, so stay tuned.

The gay Super Bowl was this past October 4th in New York City.  The PHOENIX HELLRAISERS had a difficult draw, playing the San Diego, Atlanta, Washington, and then the Texas Bulls.  The team did very well, almost beating the Atlanta team and securing a victory over the Bulls.  More details of the event will be posted in the recap section and pictures are now available.

The fall season/gaybowl wrap up party held at Jim Cook's house on November 10th was lots of fun.  For everyone that missed this great event, we grilled burgers, hot dogs, and chicken, and had fun recounting stories of the superbowl.  A slide show of all the photos was distributed to the team along with individual awards.  The slide show can be seen in the photos section of the website.  If you were not able to attend, be sure to contact Aaron in order to get a copy of the slide show and receive your award.  Thanks to everyone that attended and helped make this event a smashing success!

The team scrimmage against San Diego's teams on September 15th, in San Diego went very well.  We played against 3 different teams, which gave us good experience and a feel for the competition we saw in New York.  It was especially helpful for us considering our first game in the gaybowl was against the San Diego team that made it to the championships!  A special thanks goes out to the San Diego teams for hosting us and making it a fun and memorable weekend.  Pictures of the event can be seen here.

The PHOENIX HELLRAISERS just signed up to be a member of Sportsvite.  It is a new way for us to reach new members and communicate with other football teams/players in our area.  Be sure to check out all the cool features of this website, create a profile if you want, and be sure join our organization as a player/supporter.

A special thanks goes out to Steve Cramsie of the San Diego American Flag Football League for his help on this website.  He created some of the logos and links you see throughout this website and provides his expertise whenever the need arises.  If you need any help with graphic/web design, be sure to contact him here.
